With Independence Day just barely a week away, we here at Pacifica Honda are getting pretty excited. This Fourth of July is special for us because we've just finally received delivery of the all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline, and it's giving us brand new ways to enjoy the holiday.

The Honda Ridgeline, which is all-new for 2017 after a brief hiatus, is a truck that's built like a crossover and drives like one, but has great truck-like capabilities, concludes AutoGuide in a new review.

April is Distracted Driving Awareness month, and, as such, Honda has launched a social campaign that conveys the difficulty and dangerousness of texting while also engaging in other tasks. The future of Honda, according to CEO Takahiro Hachigo, is in green alternatives. Right now, you can find a large selection of efficient new Honda vehicles in Hololulu, but they are by-and-large powered by internal combustion engines.

Soon, that is going to change.

By 2018, Honda plans to have a plug-in hybrid available in U.S. markets, and that's just the beginning. By 2030, Hachigo says, about two thirds of Honda vehicles will be hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric, or hydrogen.

Plug-in hybrids are expected to be at the forefront of this shift toward electrified models.
